Prisoner Packets

We have an opportunity to be a witness of Christ’s love to one of the least of these (Matthew 25:40). Christmas is just around the corner. Every year the South Carolina Baptist Convention and SC WMU coordinate the collection of prisoner packets. The goal is to put one of the packets in the hand of every individual incarcerated in SC Department of Corrections facilities. Click here to view the list of items to place in a gallon ziplock bag. Though we are all tempted to add to this list, please refrain from doing so. The SCBC worked closely with the SCDC to establish this specific content list. Items not on the list will be removed. The good news is, to each packet a Message of Hope will be added by the SCBC.

The Columbia Metro Baptist Association will collect the packets and deliver them to the SCBC at the appropriate time. To arrange drop off or pick up please contact Cathy Locklear (803.622.0303 or cathylocklearcmba@gmail.com). Our goal is to have these packets gathered by November 30th.

Thank you so much for your willingness to be a witness through this small act of kindness to those so often forgotten by society.
