When congregations feel stressed about their future, desire to transform, but want it to happen without great effort on their part, they often move away from their dependence on God. They rely on their own wisdom and abilities which typically are very limited.
They forget that only as they look beyond themselves to places only God can see will they experience success and significance in transformation. They must seek a synergy of the spiritual energy of the congregation to be able to transform. They must stop pushing harder and work smarter on those things where God is in the lead.
