Insight 277: FaithSoaring Churches Learn from Mistakes

Congregations seeking to transform learn from mistakes they make rather than establish rules that seek to prevent them from making these same mistakes again. Learning from mistakes focuses on how to move forward knowing that the circumstances that created the mistake may not ever happen again, or the people who made the mistakes have figured out what they did wrong.

Setting up new regulations that prevent past mistakes may hamper the actions of the next leaders, especially the next pastor, or the next effort. The new regulations are too often to prevent the past from happening rather empowering the future.
