Time to Submit Your Church’s Annual Church Profile

It’s Annual Church Profile (ACP) time!

The ACP is an incredibly valuable process for your church, and to CMBA. Did you know….

The ACP allows CMBA to get a snapshot of the health of our congregations. Around 80% of CMBA churches have become stagnant in their attendance numbers, and many of those churches are also in steep decline. This knowledge helps to steer us in serving our churches more faithfully and in better ways. When a church regularly submits their data through the ACP, we can look back MANY years to show the trends in that church’s attendance, baptism numbers, and Cooperative Program giving. These numbers are critical in helping a church assess its past and guiding it to look toward the future.

This data matters for our state Baptist convention at the national level. The number of representatives SC places on national boards of the Southern Baptist Convention is determined by the number of churches that complete an ACP in a given year. SC has one of the strongest state conventions and we want to make sure we are able to have our full contingency on these national boards.

The amount of Janie Chapman State Missions funds that our association receives are determined by the number of churches we have to complete the ACP.  Fill out the survey for this reason alone!

“Some might say that numbers aren’t important, but numbers help tell a story. Each number represents a story – a person – that once was lost and is now found, and is growing in sanctification,” Associational Missions Strategist Jamie Rogers says. “Numbers are important to God, and they should be important to us.”

The SC Baptist Convention is asking churches to complete and submit their survey by Friday, October 31st. It only takes a few minutes to compile the key information needed, so go ahead and submit your church’s ACP as soon as possible.

The website to login and input your information is www.sbcworkspace.com.
