Sacrifices and Service

All Christians are called to serve our Lord with their full heart, soul, mind, and strength. That is a foundational fact of obedience to God. Beyond that, people who feel called to serve in vocational Christian ministry not only serve from that same foundation, but the vast majority depend on that ministry to support their household economically.

To people in vocational Christian ministry it is much more than a job. It is a calling that consumes them, focuses them, and drives them to excel as examples of Christian living and witnesses to our resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In responding to the call of God upon their life, they actively allow God to work in and through them. It is appropriate to thank them for the sacrifices they make to serve our Triune God. It is important to thank them for allowing God to use them and work through them.

During this month, do something extra special to thank those who minister among you for their sacrifices and service.
