Missional Leadership Community Gathers on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at North Trenholm Baptist Church
Hear George Russ, executive director, Metropolitan New York Baptist Association, speak about their missional ministry at our Missional Leadership Community gathering on Tuesday, March 17th at Noon in the Student Building at North Trenholm Baptist Church, 6515 North Trenholm Road in Columbia. This is also the semi-annual gathering of our Missional Leadership Community (formerly Executive Board) where you will hear an update on the ministry of our association for the past six months. Every pastor (or their representative) is a member of the Executive Board, plus one or more laypersons from each church.
At this gathering we will provide a free copy of our new resource – Our One Priority Resource – which may be copied and distributed throughout your congregation. It will also be released digitally.
Big 5 Summit Coming Saturday, April 25th at Northside Baptist Church Off Insterstate 20 and Route 378 Toard Lexington
CMBA is one of the sponsoring associations along with the SC Baptist Convention’s Church Strengthening Team of the Big 5 Summit in April. For more information about this and to register go to https://www.scbaptist.org/big5summit/midlands.
The Big 5 for this day are Hospitality Ministry, Generosity, 10 Times Your Church Needs Help, and two tracks on Age Graded Discipleship. The Hospitality Ministry track will be led by our First Impressions friends – Mary Ann Sibley and Rebecca Carlisle. The 10 Times Your Church Needs Help track will be led by George Bullard. The times or issues will include Vision, Interim, Great Commission, Great Commandment, Worship and Discipleship, Staff, Space (facilities), Money, Legal, and Conflict.
This is the type of conference where it would be appropriate to bring a team of five to ten people from your congregation.
