Join Us for Lunch on Noon Tuesday, March 16th at North Trenholm Baptist Church

This is our first LIVE ON-SITE lunch since the beginning of the pandemic one year ago. March is also the time when our Missional Leadership Community is invited to join us for lunch and a report of our associational activities over the past year. Registration for lunch is required – click here. Lunch is in the Student Building at North Trenholm. Enter from the main parking lot of the church.

Our speaker will be Rabbi Andy Meyerson. He will share about the launching of a Messianic Jewish Congregation in Columbia later this year. Our newly renovated Block Party Trailer will be on display outside the Student Building in the parking lot.

Here are some important details: 1. The lunch is a boxed lunch – as always, it is free. 2. Wearing masks is strongly encouraged – except when eating. We will have N95 masks to give away free to everyone present. 3. Please register by Thursday, March 11th, for us to have an accurate count for ordering lunch. 4. Everyone present will have their choice of one free book.

A Messianic Jewish Congregation in Columbia?

Starting new congregational expressions is one of the strategies of our family of congregations. To provide more emphasis and focus to this strategy, CMBA contracted for the services of Robbie McAlister – an experienced church planter and congregational multiplication strategist – to provide leadership for this strategy.

One of the newest open doors of opportunity is the beginning of a Messianic Jewish congregation in Columbia. In our area, there is a significant Jewish population, three synagogues, and a Jewish community center. The opportunity for a Messianic Jewish congregation is great.

Recently we began a prayerful dialogue with Rabbi Andy Meyerson, who has planted Messianic Jewish congregations in Asheville, Spartanburg, and other locations. He will be present at noon on Tuesday, March 16, at a One Priority Briefing Live! at North Trenholm Baptist Church to talk about the launching of this new congregation.
