If you ever dine at a Chick-Fil-A you will hear the two-word phrase “My Pleasure” said to you when you thank the customer service person for your food. Chick-Fil-A staff are trained to the point that this phrase rolls off their tongue with automatic ease and sincerity.
Recently when attending a meeting at the Chick-Fil-A Win Shape conference center on the campus of Berry College in Georgia, our Executive Director asked for the Wi-Fi access code. The answer given was that the code is “My Pleasure.”
What else could it have been? It was their pleasure to provide Wi-Fi access.
Perhaps when someone thanks a minister for the sermon, the music, the teaching, the pastoral visit, the words of encouragement, the response could be the same – “My Pleasure.” Why not try it out? During Minister Appreciation Month thank those who minister to you for their service among you and see what their response might be.
They may not have been trained by Chick-Fil-A, but we imagine they will be filled with joy by your expression of appreciation.
