Robert Grant

One Priority Mobilizer

RFGChurchAdm@gmail.com

Mobilizer Robert Grant is ready to help CMBA churches with a variety of administration needs including budgeting, bylaws, staff compensation studies, building planning, and dissolution. With more than 40 years of combined experience serving on staff at the local church and state convention, and additional time consulting, Robert is well equipped to help churches in what can often be confusing processes.

“My joy in ministry is through church administration for property management, budgeting, legal issues, personnel management and everything in between – as there are 14 different areas of church business administration,” he explains.

As a certified fellow with the National Association of Church Business Administrators and certified Church Mediator, Robert brings a wealth of technical knowledge for CMBA churches to access. He admits to being “very mechanically minded” and says the “focus on church administration is a mechanical process allowing the church function properly and be most productive. Two areas that are my favorite aspects of church administration are church bylaws and church building consultation and use of space.”

Robert says that in his time serving CMBA since 2018, he has enjoyed helping churches transition, merge and develop into stronger congregations. He has also created useful tools for churches to navigate the dissolution process with dignity while managing the necessary legal and governmental paperwork.

“We see ourselves as an association that helps generate communication and partnership among churches. Whether it’s bylaws, general church administration, working with compensation of staff members or merging churches, the point is to do it God’s way by preserving the integrity of the congregation and leaving a legacy while doing it,” he says.

Robert has been married to wife Robin for 47 years, and they live close to their daughter and her family, which includes granddaughters Maryn (age 3) and Carrie Ruth (born September 2021). A long-time member of Lexington Baptist Church, Robert has served there as a deacon, played trombone in the orchestra for 20 years and founded a Sunday School class geared toward men who enjoy the outdoors.

Robert is available to help churches strategize church administrative issues and work with assigned committees that may struggle to process related issues effectively. Contact him by email at RFGChurchAdm@gmail.com or at 803.260.0188.
