Chris Reinolds wears two distinct hats of service within the CMBA. Since October 2017 he has produced monthly CMBA podcasts and, starting in Fall 2021, he also serves as the interim Impacting Communities Mobilizer. Chris works to learn how CMBA churches are using their unique talents for specific ministry callings while helping to lend support and partnership for these mission efforts.

“In everything I do I want to help individuals, organizations and churches to discover their next tangible steps in faith and in their spiritual journey. My desire is for churches to collaborate more with each other so that we can have greater impact within the community context. That’s also why I like producing podcasts, which bring awareness to what is taking place among our family of churches in the association,” he says of both areas of work.

Chris asks churches to share community outreach ministries and activities with him so that CMBA can encourage other local churches to also move forward in their own Kingdom work.

“As we grow more familiar with the unique DNA of each CMBA church, it becomes evident how God is calling them to carry out the work of the ministry. We can help partner other churches that are looking to do similar things and leverage that uniqueness to work together in a more strategic capacity,” he explains.

For years the CMBA Family of Churches has been actively impacting communities through ongoing ministries including hunger ministries and those more seasonal in nature, such as the State Fair ministry or Christmas prisoner packets. Chris encourages churches looking to become more involved locally to explore a variety of ministries to internationals living across the Midlands and collaboration through church planting out of a renewed desire to “partner and establish churches to carry out effective and faithful ministries into the future.”

Chris enjoys seeing churches respond well to an ever-changing culture by trying new ways to serve their neighbors. Whether through creating podcasts or CMBA local ministries, Chris says he is “constantly seeing new approaches to reaching a community. I love being able to share that with other churches and then seeing how that catalyzes new ideas for other bodies and believers. It’s encouraging to me to be a megaphone for those organizations to say ‘this is what God is doing,’ see others discover unique ways to serve in their context and then celebrate that. I want to magnify what our churches are doing.”

Chris and his wife Rosalind have five children under the age of 13 - Micah, Kinsey, Noah, Elijah, Isaiah. Chris also serves as the lead pastor of Discovery Church in Columbia.
