CMBA Family,I would like to invite you all to attend the next meeting of the CMBA Missional Leadership Community (MLC), formerly the Executive Board, that will be held Tuesday, September 20, at 11:30 a.m. at NorthStar Center of Hope, 1410 Sunnyside Drive in Columbia. The MLC meeting will begin with lunch and will be followed by a time of discussion. We do ask that you RSVP for the lunch by Friday, September 16.

For those of you who are new to CMBA or have not attended a MLC meeting before, it is comprised of one staff member and one lay member from each member church in the association. If your church has over 600 members, you are entitled to one additional participant. MLC meetings are held two times each year, in recent years they have been in March and September.This MLC meeting will be dealing primarily with the new bylaws that will be proposed for adoption at this year’s annual meeting. The 2022 CMBA Annual Meeting will be held Thursday, October 6, at 6:30 p.m. at Winnsboro First Baptist Church.I would love to have your church represented as this new document is proposed for discussion at MLC and also for voting at the annual meeting. It’s been many years since our last constitution and bylaws was adopted and CMBA is in need of a new document. A committee has been working hard all year in order to bring forward these proposals. Presenting this for discussion at the September MLC meeting will allow time for your questions and understanding ahead of the official vote.
