Insight 356: FaithSoaring Churches Choose Causes Carefully

Congregations seeking to transform choose their causes carefully. We are not talking about war or fighting. We are talking about the issues in their denomination, in their community context, and in the world at large on which they decide to focus time and resources.

As in many other areas of their transformation they should not address everything that happens around them. They need to carefully see how opportunities and crises impact their mission, vision, and future story especially as they involve the people to whom God is sending them. Local community causes are the most important of the three types.
