Insight 276: FaithSoaring Churches Eliminate Parking Lot Meetings

Congregations seeking to transform create an open dialogue culture that minimizes or eliminates parking lot meetings or other forms of the meeting after the meeting. To transform, congregations must develop an open dialogue culture where people can dialogue with transparency on the issues being addressed.

One result is that people feel less of a need to have a side meeting, a telephone campaign, or a private email exchange that seeks to change what went on in meetings. When approached by persons who want to organize an effort to change what went on in meetings people decline to be part of this.
