Insight 229: FaithSoaring Churches Communicate for Ownership

Congregations seeking to transform do not preach at one another when things are not going well. They do not blame others for a lack of performance. They do not tell people what they must do. Rather, they cast a God-given vision for the future. They engage the congregation in dialogue and prayer that seek to deepen ownership of the direction and essential ministries of the congregation.

They communicate with the congregation to be sure as many people as possible can participate in the ownership of the congregation’s direction. Deep ownership deepens passion, volunteering, and financial support.
