Insight 196: FaithSoaring Churches Focus on Continual Transformation

Congregations seeking to transform should not see transformation as an event. It is a new or renewed state of existence. Transformation is a substantive journey for congregations and not a destination. It is a zone which congregations achieve, but where they must keep going on their journey to stay in this zone.

Congregational transformation is not about arriving. It is about a continual journey. When congregations stop transitioning and changing, what it means to be transformed keeps moving ahead in front of them and creating an ever-widening gap between where they are and where they need to be.
