Insight 064: FaithSoaring Churches Expect Something to Happen

A barrier for many congregations is that they have a fatalistic attitude about the future. They are not sure anything can work. Nothing will be effective. Something unusual must happen for them to be transformed. At the same time, they tightly define what they are willing to allow in terms of transition and change.

Congregations who successfully transform are continually looking for new things, deeper inspiration, and clearer discernment of God’s leadership. They expect something to happen when they pray. They know they must be the feet and hands of God rather than being at rest sitting on their hands.
