Gospel Saturation Insight 148

Insight 148: “Faithful work in the harvest should result in the production of robust, mature disciples. Gone are the days when a mere profession of faith and a few tweaks to one’s behaviors would suffice to define one as a follower of Jesus in our North American culture. The denigration of our society means that churches must relentlessly work to define and make disciples, and then do the hard work to assess the way in which their church systems aid in this task. This is arduous work, no doubt, but it is the only means given by God for saturating a lost and dying world with the salt and light of the gospel (Matt 5:13–16).” (Gospel Saturation Primer, p. 83)
