In partnership with the SC Baptist Convention and SC Woman’s Missionary Union, the CMBA Family of Churches are invited to help provide a Christmas packet for every adult and juvenile inmate incarcerated in our state. Inmates look forward to this packet every year and, for many, this will be the only gift they receive.
Packets are simple to prepare but there is a specific content list approved by the prison system, consisting of mostly personal hygiene items plus a notepad, pen, and postage-stamped envelopes obtained from the Post Office. Once collected, volunteers double check each packet for accuracy and add gospel literature before they are distributed to inmates.
CMBA has a goal of providing 400 packets to the collection, so begin inviting your congregations and missions groups to participate! The full packing list may be found online here.
Please deliver completed packets to Temple Baptist Church, 806 Universal Drive, during office hours held Monday-Wednesday, 8am-2pm, by the deadline of Monday, December 1.
