Captured By Vision Insight 068 By George Bullard

Vision is not about new or retrofitted buildings, but about the lives transformed through the ministries that take place within these buildings.

Management likes to see new tangible things happening. New or retrofitted buildings is visible evidence of growth and progress. Buildings may be to some people an obvious sign of progress, but they represent another way to walk by sight rather than to walk by faith. (See 2 Corinthians 5:7.) As such they can be a hindrance to vision fulfillment.

Vision is about transformed lives. Such transformation is not as easy to see as new buildings. It is easy for people to miss the new, spiritual, and innovative things happening in hearts and congregations. Too often we are looking at the outward appearance rather than the inward heart.
