UPDATE: Due to Covid-19 pandemic factors, the MLK Day worship celebration planned for Jan. 17, 2022, has been canceled. Dr. Goatley has been invited to join a CMBA Racial Reconciliation Conversation slated for March 2022.
Monday January 17 – Martin Luther King Day Worship and Fellowship, 6 p.m. at First Baptist Columbia. Guest speaker will be Dr. David Emmanuel Goatley, former executive director of the Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mission Society and current Associate Dean for Academic and Vocational Formation, Research Professor of Theology and Christian Ministry and Director of Black Church Studies at Duke Divinity School of Duke University.
